Safe Sport

Notice from the Attorney General's Office:

Youth Safety & Coach Training Standards

At Rider Town Sports, the safety and well-being of our athletes have always been our top priority. Long before the new Colorado's Safer Youth Sports law, specifically Senate Bill 24-113 took effect on July 1, 2025, our organization had already implemented key safety standards to protect the children and families we serve.

In accordance with the new state requirements and as part of our ongoing commitment to athlete safety all coaches and team staff will continue to be SafeSport Trained on an annual basis. This training meets the guidelines established by the Mandatory Reporter Training Task Force and includes education on abuse prevention, appropriate one-on-one interactions, and how to recognize, respond to, and prevent misconduct.

As has been our standard practice, all coaches and team staff must:

·       Complete a background check, including screening for felony child abuse and sexual offenses, before working with any teams or athletes. Individuals may be disqualified from coaching based on the results of this screening.

·       Agree to and abide by our code of conduct.

Rider Town Sports will also continue to enforce our Safe Sport policies outlining prohibited behaviors for coaches, athletes, parents, and spectators. This includes a mandatory reporting policy for anyone who becomes aware of potential violations.
