Chris O’Neal – U15 Elite Coach

Chris was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, where he attended Coronado High School and graduated in 2008. At Coronado, Chris was a two-year letterman/team captain for the Boys’ Basketball program. After graduating, he was offered the first ever, full ride scholarship to play for Colorado Christian University Men’s Basketball Program in Denver, CO. For the next three summers, Chris gave back to his high school basketball program by being the head coach of the varsity AAU team. In 2011, he transferred to Johnson & Wales University- Denver where he was also a captain on the men’s basketball team, and graduated Magna cum laude earning his Bachelor of Arts & Sciences degree with a focus on Criminal Justice in 2013. Immediately following his graduation from JWU, Chris became the Head Assistant Coach of the Women’s Basketball program at JWU under Head Coach Jeff Neal. After three years of coaching at the collegiate level, an opportunity arose for Chris to become the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at Roosevelt High School in Johnstown, CO. Chris is currently in his first season with the Roughriders, and is also in school getting his Masters in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University.
