Steve Jimenez – Director/Elite Coach

Steve grew up in the North Metro area and has been coaching youth sports locally and beyond for over 25 years.  In that time, he has coached hundreds of boys and girls at many levels and in many places.  Most recently Steve served as the Elite Program Director with the Colorado Ballers where he was a Head Coach and Personal Skills Trainer.  Prior to that he spent many years coaching girls on the national level for Colorado Elite as well as founding and coaching for the North Metro Blazer Basketball Club for Boys and Girls.  Steve has experience coaching locally at every level and in every league.

Over the years, Steve has had the fortune of seeing many of the girls and boys he has coached and helped coach go on to play collegiately.  He feels that the relationship he has with players that have been successful in reaching their goals has given him a clear vision of what it takes to be successful on the court both mentally and physically.  “Kids today have a much better understanding of what it takes to be great from a physical standpoint than ever before which is a good thing, but a lot of them don’t understand what it takes between the ears.  Overcoming adversity, developing confidence, and understanding why they do things not just what they do, are all examples of things I strive to instill in the players I coach and work with.”

Steve earned an athletic scholarship to Fort Hays State University and graduated from FHSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology.  He is married to Karla and they have three kids, Kylie (19), Alyssa (16) and Coby (14).
